Difference between Single Action And Double Action OTF Knives

Single action knives extend automatically, generally by pushing a button, but must be manually retracted (generally there is a way to push or pull in the blade). Single action knives are generally sturdy and inexpensive (compared to a similar double action knife).

Double Action OTF Knives

Double Action OTF knives automatically extend and retract by using a sliding button or lever. Double action OTF knives are considered easier to use, but are more expensive compare to a similar single action knife. Please be advised that blade movement is a normal part of any out the front knife.
